Joycelyn set up the Seafood Pub Company in 2010, combining her family’s heritage in the fishing industry with her passion for high quality food and relaxed service.
Since launching her first site, the Oyster & Otter in 2011, she then went on to roll out the concept and today has 10 sites within the group. Recently securing private equity backing, the group plans to expand to 20 sites in the next three to five years. Each pub has a different look and personality based on the area, but all offer award-winning food, plus sensational seafood specials. Six of the venues have stunning accommodation on site, making them a real tourist destination.
Joycelyn and the Seafood Pub Company have won numerous national, regional and industry awards including the Publican Best Food Offer for 2-50 sites in 2015/16, and a prestigious Catey Pub and Bar award.
